BEIJING, June 19 - Liu Dongsheng, vice administrator of the State Forestry Administration, met with H.E. Mr. Sultan Salmeen Saeed Al Mansouri ,Qatar's ambassador to China on June 19, 2014 in Beijing.

Liu expressed the wishes to strengthen bilateral cooperation with Qatar in the future. The ambassador also hopes to communicate and cooperate with China on ecological construction and protection. Bilateral parts agreed to cooperate on fields such as forestation in arid and semi-arid regions, desertification prevention and control, wild fauna and flora protection, etc.

BEIJING, June 6 - Zhao Shucong, administrator of State Forestry Administration, met with Niels Elers Koch, chairman of International Forestry Association in Beijing on June 4. Zhao expressed his gratitude to the International Forestry Association’s support to China. China’s forestry is in a critical period of transformation and upgrading, and he hoped to strengthen further cooperation with International Forestry Association, especially on forestation in arid and semi-arid regions and combating climate change, he said.

Niels Elers Koch wished more Chinese scientific research institutions, associations and forestry scientists join the work of International Forestry Association, and more cooperation with China in the future.
