BEIJING, June 6, Xinhua - A three-year scientific investigation on biodiversity of Sanjiangyuan started in 2012 has recorded at least 42 species of mammals, 102 species of birds, 214 species of insects and over 500 kinds of plants in Sanjiangyuan.

Located at an average altitude of 4,000 meters in northwest China's Qinghai Province, the Sanjiangyuan region is the cradle of the Yangtze, Yellow and Lancang rivers, and also a paradise for herders and wildlife.

BEIJING, May 18,Xinhuanet - The "1600 Pandas World Tour" will make its next stop in South Korea on May 23.

The "1600 Pandas World Tour" was first launched in 2008 as a collaboration between World Wide Fund For Nature (WWF) and French artist Paulo Grangeon.
