BEIJING, September 3 - On September 3, 2014, a workshop on Bamboo industry of Latin American, Caribbean and South Pacific region opened in Beijing, hosted by Ministry of Commerce and undertaken by International Center for Bamboo and Rattan. The workshop attracted 25 trainees from 12 countries. Jiang Zehui, National deputy director of Political Consultative Conference Population Resources and Environment Committee, co-chairman and director of International Center for Bamboo and Rattan, and Peng Youdong, committee member of State Forestry Administration, director general of Department of Science and Technology presented and made speeches at the workshop.
