BEIJING, Jan.15 - Zhao Shucong, Administrator of State Forestry Administration of China met with Elizabeth Truss, Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs of the United Kingdom in Beijing on January 13, 2015. Mr. Zhao introduced the development of wild fauna and flora protection and illegal transaction combating in China, especially the new progress made since the London Conference on the Illegal Wildlife Trade held in February 2014. Mr. Zhao also expressed that China is willing to strengthen related cooperation with the UK and other international countries.

Elizabeth Truss highly appreciated the accomplishments China made on wildlife protection, and she hopes to conduct further cooperation on Forestry and wildlife protection between China and the UK. The bilateral parts agreed to establish correlation mechanism and conduct cooperation on information sharing as well as policy consultation.
