BEIJING, October 28 -- The Republic of Fiji joined International Bamboo and Rattan Organization (INBAR) on October 27, 2020. A flag-raising ceremony was held outside INBAR’s Beijing headquarter. Till now, INBAR now has 47 Member States.

Bamboo is widely distributed in Fiji and many other Pacific island states. Representative from INBAR expressed that they would works for the welfare of the manufacturing and consumption economies of Bamboo and rattan, promote south-south cooperation and south-north communication, as well as contribute to the sustainable development of the bamboo and rattan industry in the world.
