AZERBAIJIAN, July 5 -- The Migratory Bird Habitat along the coast of the Yellow Sea-Bohai Gulf of China (Phase I) was added to the World Heritage List as a natural site, which was announced on 5 July 2019 at the World Heritage Conference held in Baku, Azerbaijan. So far, the total number of world heritage sites in China has increased to 54.

The Phase I site located at Yancheng city of Jiangsu province, is right in the middle of the East Asian-Australasian Flyway. Every year, thousands of migratory birds make stopovers and breed, among which, there are 23 kinds of Birds of International Importance.
