BEIJING, June 25 -- Under the witness of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin, a Memorandum of Understanding on Forestry Cooperation was signed by heads from State Forestry Administration of China and Russian Federation Forest Agency on 25 June 2016 in Beijing.

According to the MoU, the bilateral parts will continue to conduct science and technology exchanges, as well as economic cooperation through China-Russia Forestry Working Group. The cooperative fields include forestry legislation and law enforcement, sustainable forest management, forest monitoring and inventory, forest protection and utilization, illegal logging and related trade combating, desertification control and forestry investment.
