NEWYORK, Mar.3 - UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi at UN headquarter in New York on February 23, 2015. Ban Ki-moon expressed that China plays an important role in addressing climate change and advancing sustainable development. It is hoped that China will continuously back and participate in the negotiation on the post-2015 development agenda, the conference on climate change in Paris as well as the conference on development financing and make its contributions to these ends.

NAIROBI,Mar.1,Chinadaily - African Wildlife Foundation (AWF) on Saturday welcomed a move by Chinese government to impose a one-year ban on imports of African ivory carvings.

AWF CEO Patrick Bergin said in a statement released in Nairobi that they "welcome this positive step", and calls on China to consider an outright ban on all ivory trade in the country.
