BEIJING, April 16 -- Peng Youdong, Deputy Administrator of National Forestry and Grassland Administration of China met with H.E. U Ohh Winn, Minister of National Resources and Environmental Conservation of Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
They introduced forestry situation and cooperation between China and Myanmar, and exchanged views on issues they both concerned with, including forest product development and usage, trans-boundary natural reserve construction, combating illegal logging and trade, bamboo and rattan industry cooperation, forestry enterprise investment as well as capacity building. Both of them hope to establish a forestry working group based on the current MOU and hold the first working group meeting to conduct pragmatic forestry cooperation.
