SICHUAN, January 13, China Daily -- A group of United Nations (UN) panda champions began a week-long tour of Sichuan province on Jan 9, hoping to spread the message of panda protection worldwide.

The visit is the last activity of the “Global Search for UNDP Panda Envoys”, a UN development program which began in Chengdu on Jan 17, 2016. During the visit, panda envoys took care of panda cubs at Chengdu’s Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.

BEIJING, January 13 -- Chen Fengxue, Vice Administrator of State Forestry Administration of China led a delegation to visit Nepal and Sri Lanka for wildlife cooperation.

On January 6, 2017, Mr. Chen met with Deepak Bohara, Minister of Forest and Soil Conservation of Nepal. Both parts reviewed the history of bilateral forestry cooperation, discussed the issues in the field of wildlife cooperative research, species exchange, combating with the climate change, Green Corridor project, personal communication and training.
