BEIJING, March 3 -- On December 20, 2013, the UN added World Wildlife Day to its calendar as an official event to be celebrated from March 3, 2014. It declared the day to appreciate the beautiful and diversified wildlife, and raise public understanding about the wildlife worldwide. Meanwhile, World Wildlife Day also raises awareness of endangered animals and plants, and of ways to fight against wildlife crime, which could had negative economic, environmental and social impacts worldwide.

Highlight - 3.3 World Wildlife Day Listen to the young voices

The theme of the World Wildlife Day in 2017 was “Listen to the Young Voices”, which is to raise awareness of youth to attach more importance and be more engaged into the endangered wildlife protection, and to build a better future.
