XINJIANG, August18 - On August 18, 2014,State Forestry Administration and General Administration of Customs handed over 200 smuggled Geoclemys hamiltoniies to Pakistan government at Khunjerab Pass in Xinjiang. This is the first time Chinese government successfully returned back smuggled endangered species.

BEIJING, August 12 - On August 12, 2014, the annual meeting of State Forestry Administration of China and the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) was held in Beijing. At the meeting, the two parts reviewed the implementation of their cooperative projects, worked out new projects to cooperate in 2014 and 2015, and made up a memo. According to the memo, the two parts will cooperate on fields such as protection of wild tiger and its habitats, protection of wildlife in Tibetan Plateau and wildlife trade management and control. The Wildlife Conservation Society will put 3.5 million yuan into these projects.
